3 cm dilated, 90% effaced, and Baby A is at -1 station.
The last number is a measure of how low the baby's head is vertically; my understanding is that the head goes from -2, -1, to 0, or in line with the pelvis, and then to +1, +2 on the way out. My doctor said he delivered a baby last night who was only at -2 when mom was 7 cm dilated! In other words, Baby A is ready to come on out...and so is mom!
At the latest, one week from today, we'll be at the hospital. We are so ready and excited to meet our little guys.
We'll do our best to post news and pictures as soon as possible!
I CANNOT wait to meet these little guys and I am so praising God right now that your pregnancy has gone SOOO well and soon, very soon you'll be holding your two little men in your arms. I'm so excited for you Holli! Love you!
ReplyDelete:) Thanks, Jean. We are so incredibly thankful as well. I definitely keep reminding myself of this...it helps get through the long days as we get to the delivery.
ReplyDeleteAre you trying all the old wives' tales about inducing labor? I'm not a big believer in them working, but I always thought it was kinda fun to do some of that (spicy food, etc) just to pass the time. Of course, I stayed away from the mineral oil; it just seemed a little over the top to me...=)
ReplyDeleteYup, definitely trying all the tricks (minus the castor oil...too much for me as well)! Seems like these boys have a mind of their own and will come when they want, or with some help on Friday. :)
ReplyDeleteSOOO excited! Can't wait to see pictures! I hope and pray that all goes smoothly this week--whenever it is! As of tomorrow you will have made it farther than I did...with TWO..>I can't imagine!! Keep us posted!!!
ReplyDeleteI never would have thought we'd make it this far...it's amazing how much the body can stretch! (Ha, and how many marks there can be to prove it.) Hoping to have news soon...we will keep you posted for sure!
