Happy 11 Months!

Yes, we are just one month shy of turning a year old! 

 

 

The "11 Month" sign did not survive until the first click of the camera...

Jake:

 

One second before he bolted!  This one is on the move!

Took his FIRST STEPS on 11.10.11!  He walked from his exersaucer (which he was hanging onto) to mom in the middle of the living room.  About 10 steps in all!  So exciting. :)

 

 

Has learned, at the tender young age of 10 months, to throw a mini-tantrum.  Yay....

Plays a new game involving a sock with Mommy, it is pretty simple, but he definitely seems playful and I love it!

 

 

Fought a bad case of croup this month, complete with a trip to the ER for a breathing treatment and steroid shot.  He is feeling much better now, though!

 

 

Still has 7 teeth, 4 on top and 3 on the bottom.

Charlie:

 

Caught clapping to my, "Mom's taking your picture" song. :)

Starting to pull himself to standing!  He managed to get to standing in his crib this week (time to lower his mattress, too) and was so proud of himself.  Now, if we could get from lying down to sitting, we'd have most of the dots connected.

 

 

Smiling at everyone we meet, and often waving or pointing to them as well.

 

 

Continues to make efforts at words (usually mimicing us) including "duck" and "uh-oh" most recently.  He is also associating words with gestures and claps when we say"Yaaayyy," sometimes waves when we say "Hi!" and has signed "more" a few times when eating.  Oh, and he will also buzz his lips using his finger like we do in music class, often on cue.  Currently our favorite of Charlie's "tricks." :)
