Happy 8 Months!

As of 8.11.11, we have traveled 2/3 the way around the sun!

Jake:

18 lb, 8 oz

Sitting and pulling up to stand on whatever he can reach.
Started getting into a sitting position on his own just shy of 8 months; now we'll occasionally find him sitting up in his crib!
Scooting and moving all about; seems to be pretty fearless and reckless at this point...thinking of finding him a crash helmet! :)

Will soon have SIX teeth as FOUR!!?!?!? are currently pushing through on top...poor little fella!

Charlie:

16 lbs

Sitting unassisted much better
Uses his feet almost like additional hands; he's our little monkey.
Getting very good with both hands, passing objects, banging them together, passing a cheerio back and forth, etc.
Still does not love being on his belly and doesn't spend much time there as he knows how to get where he wants to go by rolling. But, a favorite toy can catch his interest for a time and he'll stay pushed up on his tummy.
Says "Mom-mom" pretty often! (Though, probably not on purpose yet.)
Has one chomper! We saw his first tooth on 8.16.11!!!

Both Boys:

The boys take two naps now, around 9:00 and 2:00ish. They sleep from 1-2 hours at each nap...usually.

They nurse four times a day (sometimes 5) and are eating more and more "big kid" food these days. Some recent culinary additions are shredded bits of chicken and fish.

We've had our fair shair of deviations to the sleep/eat pattern this month due to teething and some huge developmental milestones that they seem to want to practice in their cribs. :)

Lots of bloopers this month as it is getting difficult to keep them in one place! As you can see, I had to have Daddy help this time. :)
